Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in manufacturing engineering, AutoCAD, tooling, bill of materials (BOM), APQP, continuous improvement, product design, cost reduction, and quality improvement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our products' manufacturing processes, ensuring their quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for our products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
  • Use AutoCAD to create and modify product designs, ensuring they meet customer requirements and comply with industry regulations.
  • Develop and manage the bill of materials (BOM) for each product, ensuring all necessary components are included and accurately costed.
  • Utilize APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) to guide the product development process, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Implement cost reduction strategies in the manufacturing process without compromising product quality.
  • Conduct regular quality assessments on the manufacturing process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role, preferably within the metal stamping, removal, welding, injection molding, or assembly industries.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, bill of materials (BOM), APQP, and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Experience in product design, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) certification is a plus.
