Manager of IT Infrastructure

We are currently seeking a Manager of IT Infrastructure to join our team. We specialize in creating adhesive bonded fastening to bear on the technical challenges of the marine, energy, and other industrial sectors. The IT Infrastructure Manager holds the responsibility of crafting and supervising the organization's server hardware and infrastructure systems solutions, while also overseeing the infrastructure team. Their role encompasses ensuring compliance with server security protocols and system standards. Tasks involve the establishment and upkeep of policies and procedures, conducting audits, and staying abreast of server hardware and infrastructure solution developments. They actively contribute to strategic and tactical decisions concerning infrastructure technology architecture, design, deployment, and support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design data contingency plans and disaster recovery plans for data.
• Supervise the planning, design, and implementation of server hardware and software systems.
• Ensure documentation maintenance for supporting and sustaining managed solutions.
• Support continuous process improvement by aiding in the development and refinement of processes to enhance product quality, performance, and productivity.
• Manage projects and daily tasks within the IT Infrastructure Team, which includes:
• Hands-on involvement
• Management of servers, storage, hardware, and supporting software.
• Ensure the availability of critical systems.
• Provide technical assistance on issues and follow-up.
• Establish system specifications by consulting with organizational peers, analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
• Proactively manage and monitor server hardware and systems software to identify performance-related issues and potential problems affecting availability.
• Address security vulnerabilities promptly.
• Upgrade systems, hardware, and software; develop, test, evaluate, and install enhancements.
• Stay updated on job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining test labs.
• Maintain the integrity of servers, software, and security.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Immediately report all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure quality and safety by complying with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision, being a self-starter, and paying attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To succeed in this role, an individual must demonstrate the following competencies:

• Windows Server 2012-2022.
• Server virtualization.
• Storage Area Networks (SANs).
• Microsoft SQL Server.
• Active Directory and Exchange Server.
• Microsoft Federation Services.

• Skills in system design and planning.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from management and users.

• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Availability to work nights and weekends, both scheduled and unscheduled.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology of related field
• 8+ years of Information Tech industry experience
• Proven track record of success leading a team
