The Manager will oversee the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting engagement work plans, and demonstrates excellent project management skills, client service, and positive coaching to the team members in developing technical and professional competency.

The ideal candidate is a Senior Associate out of public accounting or Audit/Advisory Manager looking to transition to a normal work schedule and make an impact on day-to-day operations. If the candidate has a CPA and no experience working in public accounting but has progressive growth working for a consulting firm, that is another perfect match! CPA is not required but will be as the Manager continues to grow in their career at this firm.

This role is 50% hybrid and 50% remote and has to be accessible to clients in the Denver, CO area.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance on complex accounting issues.
3. Manage the timely and accurate reporting of financial results and statements.
4. Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, setting clear objectives and managing performance.
5. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
7. Participate in the development of strategic financial initiatives and plans.
8. Advise management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
9. Evaluate and manage risk, ensuring the implementation of appropriate controls.
10. Perform financial analysis and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications:
1. CPA preferred or interest in obtaining.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.
4. Experience in a public accounting and/or consulting firm is preferred.
5. Extensive experience with financial statement preparation.
6. Demonstrated technical accounting experience.
7. Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a team.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
11. Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations and standards.
12. Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
