Maintenance Technician

Our client is a plastics manufacturing comapny who's been in business for over 50 years! Their services stretch across a diverse range of industries and offer services for injection stretch blow molding, extrusion blow molding, silk screen decoration, and spot and full wrap pressure-sensitive label application

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
2. Performing preventative maintenance tasks to keep machinery running smoothly and extend its usability.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing issues with electrical and hydraulic systems.
4. Responding quickly to emergency situations, resolving problems to minimize downtime.
5. Assisting in the installation and set up of new machinery and equipment.
6. Maintaining detailed records of performed maintenance, repairs, and parts replaced.
7. Collaborating with other staff and teams to optimize performance and productivity.
8. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
9. Continuously learning about new machinery, equipment, and maintenance methods to improve job performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in working with electrical and hydraulic systems.
3. Experience in the Plastics Manufacturing sector is preferred but not required.
4. A proven track record of conducting preventative maintenance.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
7. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. A strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing industry.
9. A high school diploma or equivalent.
