Job Details

Client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in maintenance, with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing equipment controlled by PLC systems. This position is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities and minimizing downtime due to equipment failures.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, including components controlled by PLCs.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and production losses.
Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC logic and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems to optimize machine performance and meet production requirements.
Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules to prevent equipment failures and prolong equipment lifespan.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and spare parts inventory.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective actions.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Provide training and support to production personnel on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in PLC technology to continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification in electrical or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Experience working with PLCs, including programming, troubleshooting, and modifying ladder logic.
Familiarity with HMI systems and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls outside of regular business hours.
