Maintenance Technician - Electrical

Shift: 1st (6a – 4p) – 4 day / 10 Hour schedule

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Maintenance Technician with a focus on Electrical systems for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This position is an integral part of our team, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our machinery, equipment, and systems, with a focus on electrical components. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of all electrical systems and will work closely with our engineering and production teams to enhance efficiency and productivity. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, programming, and mechanical maintenance, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in manufacturing equipment, including fault-finding, system analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to install new equipment and systems, and to implement and improve manufacturing processes.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance work performed, and report any major issues to management promptly.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to team efforts to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance technician role in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on electrical systems.
• Preferred Proficient in programming, particularly with PLCs, and mechanical maintenance.
• Thorough understanding of electrical systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment, and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding electrical systems and safety.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and machinery, and to work in a variety of physical conditions.
