As a Maintenance Superintendent, you will be a part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment in the finance industry where you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our equipment and systems. This role demands a highly technical, organized, and detail-oriented individual who can keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company's facilities. You will be the one to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Superintendent/Supervisor or similar role for at least 3 years.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics.
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment maintenance and equipment management, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Experience with maintenance scheduling and ordering parts.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
  • Proficient in the use of timber in maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage.
  • Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus.
