Maintenance Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Maintenance Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the maintenance department to ensure the efficient operation of all plant machinery and equipment. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Overseeing and coordinating all maintenance activities and operations to ensure maximum operational potential is realized for all plant machinery and equipment.
• Developing and implementing maintenance procedures and standards to improve overall equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Leading and managing a team of maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
• Conducting regular inspections and audits of equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
• Collaborating with other department managers to optimize production processes and reduce downtime.
• Developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in all operations.
• Utilizing PLC programming knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Participating in the selection and management of external contractors and service providers.
• Traveling as necessary to oversee equipment installations, repairs, or maintenance at other sites.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Maintenance Manager position, you must possess the following:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field is highly preferred.
• A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
• At least 5 years of management experience in a maintenance environment.
• AIB certification is preferred.
• An operational background in electrical circuitry, refrigeration, fuel burning equipment, and machine mechanics.
• A strong conceptual knowledge of PLC programming.
• Familiarity with lean tools or a similar process and control system.
• The ability to travel 10-15%.
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental related concepts.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Prior experience in building a strong team.
• The ability to coach and teach Continuous Improvement principles.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
