Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations in our food production plant. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team to ensure that all machinery and equipment are in good working condition, production downtime is minimized, and safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, excellent leadership and organizational skills, and a passion for ensuring optimal plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team to ensure that all machinery and equipment are maintained and repaired in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Schedule and assign work orders to maintenance personnel and ensure that work is completed within the set timelines.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize production downtime and equipment failure.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and adjusted to optimize production.
  • Train and mentor maintenance personnel to ensure that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage and maintain maintenance records and reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management in a food production plant.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and experience in troubleshooting and repair.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety regulations for food production plants.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.

Working Conditions:
  • The Maintenance Supervisor will work primarily in a manufacturing production plant, which can be noisy and may have exposure to fumes, dust, and other environmental hazards.
  • The job may require working during weekends, holidays, and outside of normal business hours.
  • The position may require occasional travel.
