Machine Operator (Distillation)

We are a manufacturing company looking to add a Distillation Operator to our growing team!

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Distillation Operator II to join our team in the Finance industry. This role will be integral in overseeing the distillation process, ensuring the highest quality of output in line with regulatory standards. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the distillation process, including atmospheric, vacuum, and reflux distillation.
2. Manage solvent recovery systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
3. Monitor and control the input of raw materials, utilizing load cells to ensure accurate measurements.
4. Mix compounds as per the specified formula and standard operating procedures.
5. Operate and manage the Sage ERP system, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
6. Maintain adherence to GMP, SQF, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and other relevant safety and quality standards.
7. Ensure compliance with all company systems and programs, including safety guidelines.
8. Identify and troubleshoot issues in the distillation process, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of the distillation process.
10. Participate in regular training and development programs to stay updated with the latest industry practices.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Distillation Operator or in a similar role in the Finance industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of distillation processes, including atmospheric, vacuum, and reflux distillation.
3. Experience in solvent recovery and handling raw materials.
4. Proficiency in using load cells and mixing compounds.
5. Working knowledge of Sage ERP system.
6. Familiarity with GMP, SQF, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and other relevant safety and quality standards.
7. Strong commitment to compliance with safety guidelines and company systems/programs.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
10. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development programs.
