We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Permanent Logistics Coordinator in the Manufacturing industry. This position is a vital part of our team, responsible for managing the flow of goods and materials from suppliers to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, specifically in receiving, warehouse management, fulfillment, production planning, vendor relations, freight, and overall logistics. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of logistics experience and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Job Details

As our Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of all goods and materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all stages of the process.
2. Manage the warehouse, ensuring optimal organization and safety standards are maintained at all times.
3. Coordinate fulfillment operations, ensuring that customer orders are processed and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
4. Assist with production planning, working closely with the production team to ensure that materials are available when needed and that production schedules are met.
5. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and prices, and resolving any issues that may arise.
6. Manage freight operations, coordinating with freight companies to ensure that goods are transported efficiently and safely.
7. Monitor and manage logistics systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
8. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure that all aspects of the logistics process are coordinated effectively.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting role, you will need the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of logistics experience, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
2. At least 2 years of experience in a role involving receiving, warehouse management, fulfillment, production planning, vendor relations, freight, and logistics.
3. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and other team members.
5. A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
6. Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
7. A commitment to safety and efficiency in all aspects of the logistics process.
