Responsibilities:

  • Originate and process a variety of loan types, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and CHFA loans.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of loan applications by effectively assessing applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers, outside entities, and other company staff to facilitate a smooth loan application process.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including "(ISC)2" guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clients with sound financial advice and counsel on their mortgage options and educate them about the loan process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, developers, financial planners/CPAs, attorneys, and other referral sources to generate mortgage leads.
  • Proactively seek ways to develop and expand client relationships to continuously build a strong referral network.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Loan Officer or similar role.
  • Proven experience with loan origination and handling various types of loans, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and CHFA loans.
  • Proficiency in "(ISC)2" or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of loan underwriting and processing procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide appropriate financial solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination software.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Must hold an active NMLS License.
