Litigation Attorney

Founded over a decade ago and based in San Jose, we are a premier law firm focused on business and employment litigation. Due to growth we are seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in leading and managing complex litigation matters, representing our clients in high-stakes cases. We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record in trial and arbitration proceedings, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Counsel: Act as lead counsel in a variety of high-stakes litigation matters, demonstrating expertise and proficiency in handling complex cases effectively.
• Trial and Arbitration Expertise: Showcase a strong background as a 1st or 2nd chair in trial and arbitration proceedings, advocating for clients and excelling in adversarial environments.
• Client Representation: Engage directly with clients, including high-level executives, providing deposition preparation, counseling, and support in navigating the implications of ongoing litigation.
• Motion Practice: Present and argue dispositive motions regularly, demonstrating proficiency in shaping case outcomes.
• Trial Preparation: Play an integral role in preparing for arbitration, bench, and jury trials, including voir dire, witness preparation, and post-judgment motion practice.
• Precedent-Setting Cases: Contribute to litigating high-stakes cases that have the potential to set legal precedents.
• Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: Uphold and promote our firm's dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in all aspects of your work and interactions.

Needed:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 10 years of substantial experience in litigation.
• Prior trial experience, with jury trials
• Proven track record in 1st or 2nd chair trial and arbitration experience.
• Exceptional litigation skills, including strong written and oral communication.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
