We are looking for a dynamic, result-driven Permanent Litigation Attorney with a focus on Insurance Defense to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality legal services, excelling in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to the success of our firm. This position offers the opportunity to handle a broad range of insurance defense matters, including personal injury, product liability, and professional liability claims.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Litigation Attorney, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Managing a litigation caseload from beginning to end, working closely with other attorneys, team members, and Partners on legal projects.
2. Regularly handling court appearances, depositions, briefs, trials, and client meetings.
3. Representing insurance companies and their policyholders in civil litigation matters involving claims for personal injury and property damage.
4. Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs.
5. Providing legal advice to clients and updating them on the status of their cases.
6. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients and participating in mediations and arbitrations.
7. Collaborating with team members to develop strategies for complex litigation cases.
8. Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an associate attorney, specifically in insurance defense and liability defense.
4. Proven experience in handling a full caseload of major insurance defense cases from inception through trial.
5. Strong knowledge of federal and state statutes, court rules, forms, processes, and procedures.
6. Excellent oral advocacy, negotiation, and written communication skills.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
10. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
