Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of litigation including depositions, legal research, writing, and trials.
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and agreements.
- Conduct extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations, negotiate on behalf of clients, and prepare for and attend court proceedings.
- Provide legal advice to clients and advise on necessary courses of action based on legal rights and obligations.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Represent clients before judicial and regulatory authorities, and corporate entities.
- Work closely with team members and clients to ensure the efficient and effective handling of legal matters.
- Maintain client relationships and communicate effectively to understand their objectives and represent them competently.
Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation with a strong background in legal research and writing.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state, or eligible for admission by motion.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to advocate persuasively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with clients, potential clients, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and using discretion when handling privileged information.
- Proficiency with legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- A proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
