Litigation Associate Attorney

We are a nationally-recognized litigation and insurance coverage West Coast law firm. Our team of skilled coverage lawyers work collaboratively to counsel and defend clients in claim-related, regulatory and extra-contractual matters. This position will have the opportunity to handle significant responsibility in all phases of litigation including motion practice, discovery, and case management, as well as handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials. The work may also involve non-litigated insurance coverage work, including research, writing opinion letters, and advising insurers on their obligations with respect to claims-handling and coverage issues.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing our clients in various legal proceedings, including trials, hearings, and arbitrations. You will work closely with our clients to understand their legal needs and provide them with the best possible legal solutions. Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in various legal proceedings, including trials, hearings, and arbitrations
• Conduct legal research and analysis to provide clients with the best possible legal solutions
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Attend depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings
• Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various legal matters
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
• Stay up-to-date with changes in the law and legal precedents

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in Oregon
• 2+ years of experience in litigation, insurance coverage defense, and deposition
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
