We are seeking a dynamic, goal-oriented Linux Systems Administrator (TS/SCI Full Scope Poly) to join our team. This role is crucial to maintaining the integrity and performance of our company's critical systems. You will be responsible for the installation, integration, administration, monitoring, and configuration of Linux-based systems. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency and a strong understanding of Linux system administration. As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will be tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to optimize performance.

Responsibilities:

• Install, integrate, and manage Linux-based systems and servers.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
• Maintain system security by managing user access, conducting system audits, and applying necessary patches and updates.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration and design details.
• Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery procedures.
• Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Maintain system standards by tracking production configurations, developing system access, and monitoring system performance.
• Collaborate with network engineers or software developers to ensure the system runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Linux systems administration.
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with SQL and Oracle databases.
• Experience with system testing and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of the Linux operating system and its associated hardware.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• Bonus points for programming skills in Bash, C/C++, Python or Java.
