The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and managing litigation files from inception through trial. This role is perfect for a seasoned attorney who is well-versed in liability defense and/or first party property, and who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The attorney will work closely with our clients and other members of our team to provide top-tier legal services.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of complex liability defense files, including commercial, automobile, general, and professional liability cases.
• Prepare legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations, etc.
• Write briefs, motions, case evaluations, and expert reports.
• Represent clients in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies of government.
• Interact with claimants, plaintiffs, attorneys, experts, and clients in a professional manner.
• Conduct extensive and detailed investigations and interpret findings to prepare clear and concise legal strategies.
• Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.

Qualifications:

• 3 to 6 years of experience in litigation related to liability defense and/or first party property.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Florida state bar.
• Proven background in case preparation, trial and procedural matters, and litigation.
• Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex legal documents.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle large caseloads and juggle multiple priorities.
• Ability to travel for court appearances, depositions, and client meetings as needed.
