LEMP Stack Software Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative LEMP Stack Software Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position in the fast-paced and ever-evolving mortgage industry. The successful candidate will be working with Linux, Nginx, MySQL, and PHP (LEMP stack) to design, develop, and implement software applications that are integral to the operation of our business. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using the LEMP stack (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP).
• Create and implement database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development with a focus on the LEMP stack (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP).
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle.
• Proven experience with Linux, Nginx, MySQL, and PHP.
• Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
• Strong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• Ability to design and optimize MySQL Server databases.
• Experience with JQuery or similar technologies.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.
• Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team player.
