A bit about us:

We are securities law firm seeking a Legal Financial Analyst to join our team. The Senior Financial Analyst will calculate losses for individuals and institutional investors who invested in financial securities. He/she/they will process large volumes of transaction data from public pension funds, asset management companies, and high net worth individuals to determine if their publicly traded securities (such as common stocks, options or corporate bonds) have been "damaged" from the revelation of securities fraud. The Senior Financial Analyst will run reports to search for the relevant security identifiers for new and settled cases and use the Bloomberg terminal to pull company specific data on ad-hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will come out of a law firm or investment management firm and be detailed in review of securities and certain stocks to analyze if the company was being deceitful or not. This will be four days in office, and one day remote (Friday).

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed securities analysis and trade analysis to identify investment opportunities and risks.
2. Use Excel and Power BI for data analysis and visualization, providing clear and concise financial reports to aid investment decision-making.
3. Calculate losses for individual and institutional investors who invest in financial securities, providing insights into potential risk factors and suggesting mitigation strategies.
4. Research and analyze a company's insider transactions and historical financial data to determine its financial health and potential investment value.
5. Provide recommendations to financial advisors and portfolio managers based on your analysis, helping to guide investment strategies and decisions.
6. Stay updated with current market trends, economic indicators, investment products and strategies.
7. Collaborate with the team to develop and implement investment strategies and risk management protocols.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. A Master's degree or CFA would be an added advantage.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in securities analysis, investment banking, financial consulting, or a related role.
3. Proficient in Excel and Power BI, with a strong understanding of financial modeling and data analysis.
4. Experience in calculating losses for individual and institutional investors and providing investment recommendations.
5. Knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management.
6. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
9. High attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality work.
10. Self-motivated and able to work independently, but also a strong team player.
11. A solid understanding of financial regulations and standards.
