Lead/ Principal Backend Engineer (PHP/ Symfony)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Lead of Principal (PHP/ Symfony) Developer to join our dynamic technology team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for developing top-notch web applications, designing interactive features, and creating robust software solutions. You will play a key role in our development team, working on complex projects that require the use of cutting-edge technologies. Responsibilities:

1. Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality software solutions using PHP, Symfony, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL, and AWS.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
3. Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality code.
4. Debug and optimize existing and new code for maximum speed, efficiency, and scalability.
5. Produce detailed technical specifications based on business requirements and design guidelines.
6. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle from initial requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current.
8. Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members to foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in web development with a strong understanding of PHP, Symfony, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL, and AWS.
3. Demonstrated experience in developing complex web applications using Symfony framework.
4. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
5. Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
6. Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
7. Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery principles and tools.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
10. AWS certification is a plus.
11. Python experience is a huge plus!
