Lead Facility Engineer

We are an established, well recognized and respected HVAC service contractor and we are looking for an experienced Lead Facility Engineer to join our team.

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Facility Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in a rapidly growing company. As the Lead Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all facility operations, ensuring that systems are efficient and effective, and managing the maintenance and repair of our facilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, controls, lighting, generators, switchgear, refrigeration, hot water systems, and piping.

Responsibilities:

As the Lead Facility Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of all facility systems, ensuring they are operating efficiently and effectively.
2. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues with facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, controls, lighting, generators, switchgear, refrigeration, hot water systems, and piping.
3. Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs for all systems.
4. Supervising and coordinating the work of the facility engineering team.
5. Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
6. Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure facility operations support business objectives.
7. Managing and coordinating facility upgrades and renovations.
8. Responding to emergency situations or system failures as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Lead Facility Engineer position should have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a facility engineer, building engineer, or in a similar role.
2. Proven experience with facility maintenance and troubleshooting.
3. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, controls, lighting, generators, switchgear, refrigeration, hot water systems, and piping.
4. Journeyman certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
