Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Estimator to join our rapidly growing team in the construction industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of construction projects, including hospital construction, behavioral health construction, and solar projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate and timely cost estimates, conducting take-offs, managing budgets, and negotiating contracts. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop comprehensive, detailed project estimates and cost plans in coordination with project managers, architects, and engineers.
2. Perform quantity take-offs, pricing, scoping, and bidding of construction projects.
3. Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to identify any potential cost risks and opportunities.
4. Lead the negotiation process with contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement and delivery of materials and services.
5. Prepare budget updates and variance reports to provide to project stakeholders.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
7. Monitor and analyze project cost performance and identify areas for improvement.
8. Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge to ensure compliance with all regulations, codes, and standards.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record in hospital construction, behavioral health construction, and solar projects.
2. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
3. Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
4. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make accurate calculations and estimates.
6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to clients and project teams.
7. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
8. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
9. Strong team player with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
