We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Lead Estimator to join our team in the Construction industry. This role is central to our business, as you'll be responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating accurate cost estimates for our civil engineering projects. The Lead Estimator is a key player in our organization, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional problem-solving skills.

Job Details:

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive understanding of project scope and requirements.
• Provide leadership and direction to estimating team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cost estimates.
• Participate in project meetings and discussions, providing expert input on cost-related matters.
• Continually monitor industry trends and market conditions to ensure estimates are competitive and realistic.
• Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference.
• Utilize estimation software (HCSS) to optimize and streamline the estimation process.
• Prepare and present cost reports and analysis to management and clients.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in estimating projects in the Civil Engineering space.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in using HCSS or similar estimating software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost control principles.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
