As the Lead CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the operation, setup, and programming of various CNC machines, including HAAS mills. You will also be tasked with the creation of CAMworks programs for the production of precision parts.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the CNC department, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
• Programme, set up, and operate CNC machines, primarily HAAS mills, to produce precision parts.
• Create and modify CAMworks programs to optimize production processes.
• Lead and mentor a team of machinists, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement new machining processes.
• Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure their longevity and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines, particularly HAAS mills.
• Extensive experience with CAMworks.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and protocols.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using measuring and inspection tools.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in a relevant field is a plus.
