You will work on projects that include all aspects of site development and municipal engineering, including, but not limited to surveying, construction testing, storm water collection, conveyance, detention and treatment, earthwork (topographic and grading), sanitary sewer (collection, conveyance and treatment), and potable water

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional looking to apply their technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges and contribute to our mission of building a sustainable future. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, with a focus on Civil projects in public works, transportation, land development (commercial and residential), industrial, etc. This role will provide an opportunity to work on all phases of projects from conceptual design to construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects, particularly those related to public works, transportation, land development (commercial and residential), industrial, etc..
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare and review detailed engineering drawings and designs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including coordinating with other engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and regulations.
• Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending workshops, studying industry publications, and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on one or more of these civil sectors public works, transportation, land development (commercial and residential), industrial, etc.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Commitment to staying current with advancements in the field of civil engineering, particularly in areas related to wastewater and sanitary sewer systems.
