We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Estimator for our Commercial Construction team. The Junior Estimator plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for estimating costs and resources for our commercial construction projects. Responsibilities:

As a Junior Estimator, your duties will include:

1. Assisting in the preparation of commercial construction project estimates, including material, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
2. Reviewing and understanding technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
3. Utilizing software tools such as Bluebeam and Building Connected for accurate estimation and bid coordination.
4. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information for estimates.
5. Participating in the bid process, including preparing bid packages, tracking bids, and analyzing bid results.
6. Maintaining a comprehensive database of updated project costs, including past estimates, actual costs, market trends, and pricing from suppliers.
7. Assisting in project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
8. Providing support to the senior estimator and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Junior Estimator position should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the commercial construction sector.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3. Proficiency in estimation software such as Bluebeam and Building Connected.
4. Solid understanding of the bid process and commercial construction practices.
5. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential problems and implement effective solutions.
