Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the construction industry. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and hospitality settings. You will also have the opportunity to work on innovative solar projects, providing you with a diverse and challenging work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, fieldwork, and electrical work.

THIS IS A CONTRACT TO HIRE ROLE

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and hospitality buildings.
• Collaborate with the project manager to plan and execute electrical projects efficiently.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Ensure compliance with codes by studying and following blueprints, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Work on solar projects, including the installation and maintenance of solar panels and solar-powered systems.
• Provide project management and executive support, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in a project management role, with the ability to oversee and direct multiple projects at once.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including commercial, hospitality, and solar systems.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and train others.
• Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician license.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and deadlines.
