Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly analytical Permanent IP Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of intellectual property disputes, including patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret litigation. This role requires a deep understanding of intellectual property law, coupled with a strong technical background in electrical engineering and computer science.

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in all aspects of IP litigation, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret cases.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate intellectual property settlement agreements.
3. Conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal and technical issues related to IP litigation.
4. Advise clients on the protection of intellectual property rights and develop strategies to avoid potential litigation.
5. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to prepare for trials, hearings, and depositions.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in IP law and advise clients accordingly.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates on case progress and legal advice.
8. Collaborate with expert witnesses to prepare for trial and deposition testimony.
9. Participate in the development and delivery of presentations and training to clients and colleagues on IP litigation topics.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. 2-5 years of experience as an IP Litigation Associate.
4. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
5. Strong knowledge of patent law, including patent prosecution and litigation.
6. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and technical concepts to clients and colleagues.
8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
11. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
