Investment Accountant

Our client is a start-up boutique real estate investment firm with a deep understanding of developing and building commercial real estate properties. Due to growth, they are looking to add an Investment Accountant to the team that will report into the Director of A&F, as well as work closely with the Partners of the firm. They pride themselves on being authentic, deliberate, concise and invest with reason, enabled by precision.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee financial operations for real estate fund accounting, private equity, and investment accounting departments
• Ensure all financial reporting, audit, and tax requirements are met
• Provide strategic financial advice and guidance to clients
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to identify trends and opportunities for growth
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Monitor and manage cash flow and investment portfolios
• Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure financial goals are met
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification is a plus
• 2+ years of experience in real estate fund accounting, private equity, and investment accounting
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, audit, and tax requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
