Intellectual Property Specialist

A large national law firm is currently seeking an Intellectual Property Specialist to join its team. The Intellectual Property Specialist performs administrative duties within the Intellectual Property practice group.

Process and docket incoming mail, both physical and electronic
Audit the process for transferred in files, ensuring that new matters are opened in Accounting, Records Management and docketing, manage proper filing of electronic and physical documents, as well as identify the chain of title so that power of attorney may be obtained
Identify, prepare and file Assignments for Recordation, Updated ADSs and Power of Attorneys for transferred in matters
Work with various staff, Records Management, Accounting and General Counsel to manage the transfer out process of matters
Assist with creating, maintaining and updating USPTO customer numbers for arriving and departing attorneys, and assist with submitting USPTO sponsorship requests
Assist with preparing Information Disclosure Requests
