Job Details

As an Insurance Defense Attorney, your core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Representing our insurance company clients in court, presenting evidence, and making legal arguments on their behalf.
2. Conducting thorough legal research to support defense strategies and to stay updated on the latest developments in insurance law.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
4. Working closely with claim professionals and other stakeholders to manage all aspects of a claim from inception through resolution.
5. Participating in mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
6. Consulting with expert witnesses and preparing them for depositions and trial testimony.
7. Providing legal counsel to clients on various aspects of insurance law, including policy interpretation, coverage issues, and liability assessment.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Insurance Defense Attorney position, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a defense attorney, preferably in the insurance industry.
4. Proven experience in handling insurance defense cases and a strong understanding of insurance law.
