Insurance Defense Attorney

Our client provides advice and representation to national insurers on complex matters involving coverage disputes, bad faith, insurance fraud and large-exposure losses.

We are seeking a talented, motivated and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and handle complex legal matters in the Insurance Defense Litigation sector. The ideal candidate will be an Associate Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience, possessing a strong passion for the legal field, a commitment to excellence, and a deep understanding of insurance law and litigation procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in all phases of insurance defense litigation from inception to resolution.
• Manage a caseload involving insurance defense claims.
• Conduct extensive and complex legal research to support litigation proceedings, draft legal documents, and advise clients on their legal rights.
• Attend court proceedings and effectively argue cases.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective defense strategies.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve matters quickly and effectively.
• Maintain updated knowledge of regulatory changes and legal precedents that may impact clients' cases.
• Provide regular updates to clients on litigation progress.
• Maintain the highest level of professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be an active member in good standing with the Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Associate Litigation Attorney, specifically in the area of Insurance Defense Litigation.
• Proven experience managing a large caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
• Profound knowledge of insurance law, litigation procedures, and best practices.
• Ability to handle complex legal issues and make sound judgments.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Must possess a high level of professionalism and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
