Information Security Analyst

We are looking for a talented and dependable Information Security Analyst to join our IT team. This is a contract-to-hire role that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly skilled team responsible for protecting our organization's information and data systems. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols. They will play an integral role in defining and assessing our company's security strategy, ensuring that our information assets are adequately protected.

Responsibilities:

• Implement, maintain, and oversee the company's security measures and controls.
• Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
• Develop and update company's disaster recovery plans and enforce security protocols.
• Conduct internal and external security audits to ensure compliance with all security protocols.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, threats, and vulnerabilities to ensure company's security infrastructure is updated.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless and secure data exchange and network access.
• Work closely with the team to identify, develop, implement, and maintain processes across the organization to reduce information and information technology risks.
• Respond to all security incidents and provide thorough post-event analyses.

Ideal Background:

• 3+ years of experience in an information security role, preferably in the finance industry.
• Proven experience with Rapid7, O365, Crowdstrike, Microsoft 365 Security Center, and Meraki or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security issues in simple terms.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA Sec+
