Industrial Sales Engineer

We are on actively interviewing for a motivated Sales Engineer with previous maintenance experience to join our team.

The successful candidate will be the driving force behind our sales team, leveraging their technical expertise to secure sales and foster long-term client relationships. This role is perfect for an individual with an engineering background who is passionate about the world of sales and has a keen interest in the power transmission, steel, and industrial machinery sectors.

Responsibilities:

1. Utilize your technical knowledge and sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products including power transmission, gears, belts, chains, and heavy machinery.
2. Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
3. Reach out to customer leads through cold calling and other lead generation strategies.
4. Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
5. Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
6. Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports.
7. Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
8. Keep abreast of best practices and industry trends.
9. Participate in trade shows and conventions to increase product awareness and seek potential customers.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer with a strong track record in sales.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience in maintenance, power transmission, steel, bearings, ball bearings, roller bearings, and industrial chain.
4. Proficiency in rotary motion, rotating, gears, belts, chains, and heavy machinery.
5. Solid understanding of procurement processes and industrial sales.
6. Experience with industrial maintenance is a must.
7. Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
8. Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
9. Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
10. BS degree in Engineering or relevant field.
