Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Hydraulic Design Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Designing and developing hydraulic systems and components for various construction projects.
2. Utilizing MicroStation and Geopak software for hydraulic design and modeling.
3. Complying with NCDOT, FHWA Hydraulic Design Manual, and other relevant standards and regulations.
4. Developing and implementing effective stormwater management strategies.
5. Conducting geotechnical engineering tasks such as soil stabilization and erosion control.
6. Designing roadway drainage systems and implementing hydraulic improvements.
7. Creating sedimentation control designs and managing erosion control projects.
8. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project success.
9. Continuously improving and updating knowledge and skills in the hydraulic design field.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Hydraulic Design Engineer position should have the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. At least 5+ years of experience in hydraulic design, particularly in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak, and other relevant software.
4. Strong knowledge of NCDOT, FHWA Hydraulic Design Manual, and other relevant standards.
5. Experience in geotechnical engineering, stormwater management, and roadway drainage design.
6. Familiarity with erosion control, soil stabilization, and sedimentation control design.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
8. A proactive and innovative approach to hydraulic design and engineering.
9. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
