The Account Representative is responsible for developing, growing, and maintaining new and existing business within the organization for the purpose of selling pre-engineered steel building systems. This role offers a solid base salary plus hefty commissions and full benefits.

*This role is a solid base salary plus commisions and benefits. Experience or exposure to sales as it relates to steel structures is a must.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Must professionally represent our team, our brand, our culture.

  • Will work diligently with the National Business Manager to implement the strategies for increased sales in their given territory or area of
assignment.

  • Account Managers will sell and manage new buildings projects from the initial client contact through the construction and completion of the
project by the client.

  • Must be knowledgeable about all facets of Steel Buildings from design to completion, including a general understanding of steel erection and
concrete work.

  • Will be proficient in the technical aspects of our company, including proficiency in reading blueprints, site planning, snow load, wind load, etc.

  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in building projects including how the process of constructing a building works from breaking ground,
site work, foundation design, electrical planning, lighting requirements for different applications, hangar doors, curtain walls, mezzanines, HVAC,
fire sprinkler systems, insulated panel systems, custom wall finishes, etc.

  • Must be familiar with all steel building applications in all geographic locations including, but not limited to, industrial, commercial, equestrian,
oilfield, indoor agricultural space, aviation, etc.

  • Must professionally communicate / follow up with all client inquiries provided by our team in a timely fashion. All written / email inquiries
received before noon must receive a response before the end of that business day. All phone call inquiries not answered immediately must
receive a returned a phone call within 60 minutes.

  • Will fill out and draft purchase orders for management approval, follow up accordingly, collect deposits and draft uniform design approval
documents including preliminary design documentation for management approval.

  • Will be proficient in the use internal metal building design software.

  • Will work with our clients to finalize their steel building design and collect completed uniform design approval documents.

  • Will add value to clients and projects with the sale of recommended accessories, installation, and other items that reflect our firms Mission
Statement.

  • Will keep proper notes and upload all project documents using our proprietary CRM.

  • Will professionally communicate with our Service Department to facilitate building fabrication, delivery, and installation.

  • Will coordinate referral client inquires to our team for appropriate responses.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-3 years sales experience preferred
  • Proficient at gathering market data along with negotiating, closing, and follow-up of sales orders while multi-tasking in a fast-paced
environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficient level of computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Adobe and CRM
  • Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend technical plans, drawings, specifications and contracts
  • Decision-making abilities with excellent customer service and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills - articulate communicator, adept in both electronic and verbal communications, professional appearance and
demeanor

Commission:
 Commission will be paid at 0.75% of topline sale price for any building project with a gross margin of
10% - 20.9%
 Commission will be paid at 1.00% of topline sale price for any building project with a gross margin of
21.0% - 29.9%
 Commission will be paid at 1.50.% of topline sale price for any building project with a gross margin of
30.0% +
 The commission paid on any job with a gross margin below 10% will be at management’s discretion
 Monthly / Quarterly bonus programs and sales contests at management discretion
 All commissions will be paid quarterly, in the 2nd pay period after the quarter ends, for buildings
delivered and paid in full in the previous quarter
