We are currently seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to work with a variety of HVAC systems in different projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proactive approach, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain and repair ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems and equipment.
2. Identify maintenance risks on equipment and provide appropriate solutions.
3. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
4. Clean, adjust and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
5. Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
6. Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
7. Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
8. Assist with customers' queries and provide expert advice and solutions.
9. Keep records of all work activities and tasks, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on-time.
10. Maintain equipment and tools in good condition and use safety gear at all times.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as HVAC Service Technician or similar role of 2+ years.
2. Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
3. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
4. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
6. Ability to work in confined spaces or at height.
7. Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
8. Valid license to practice profession.
9. Ability to handle physical workload and work in varied weather conditions.
10. Strong problem solving and communication skills.
11. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
12. Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to make on-the-job applications.
13. Proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting and cleaning of systems such as chillers, split systems, and HVAC/R systems.
