Job Details:

We're seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, HVAC service, and maintenance. This role requires an individual who is licensed and certified, preferably with S1 or S2 certifications from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field and be passionate about delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
2. Conduct regular HVAC maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the systems.
3. Diagnose and repair HVAC systems issues including refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning units.
4. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining complex HVAC issues in an understandable manner and providing cost-effective solutions.
5. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
6. Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
7. Document work performed and parts used for each job, and maintain an updated inventory of supplies and equipment.
8. Participate in ongoing training and certification opportunities to stay updated with the latest HVAC technology and practices.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
2. Valid S1 or S2 license from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.
3. Proficient in installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems.
4. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain complex HVAC issues in an understandable manner.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Ability to handle physical workload and work in various weather conditions.
7. Knowledge of current HVAC codes and industry standards.
8. Proficiency in reading blueprints and specifications.
9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
10. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
