As the HVAC Estimator you will be reporting to the President of the company where your projects will be in the $500K - $3M dollar range.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide material takeoffs for commercial HVAC systems and accessories using estimating software programs.
• Develop bids and proposals for projects ranging $500K - $3M
• Proficient in reading specifications and bid documents
• Attend job walks, prepare, and submit RFI’s.
• Prepares bid by studying plans; specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each system.
• Build relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and general contractors.
• Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors & negotiating price.
• Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Study actual project costs to determine accuracy of estimates.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards, including maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Demonstrates leadership and communication skills to mentor junior estimators.

Effectively prepare, develop, and maintain cost codes for operations.


Qualifications for this position are below:

• 3+ years of Estimating commercial HVAC / Mechanical Contracting up to $3m projects.
• Experience with estimation software, techniques, and designs, such as: Excel or FastDUCT.
• Excellent computer proficiency, including but not limited to Microsoft Suite, knowledge of Excel is required.
• College Degree or PM Certification's is a plus
• Additional Estimating Certifications is a plus
• Ability to use CAD programs and estimation software. Knowledge of FastDUCT is a plus.
