We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HVAC Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and optimal operation of HVAC systems in our projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HVAC controls, electrical wiring, and commissioning. This is a full-time, position which offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems and controls to ensure optimal operation.
2. Interpret and implement design prints for HVAC controls and systems.
3. Perform control commissioning tasks, including setting up and adjusting HVAC/DDC programming to meet specific building requirements.
4. Conduct thorough testing of electrical circuits and control codes using specialized test equipment.
5. Troubleshoot and repair issues with HVAC systems, controls, and wiring.
6. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
7. Keep up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies and best practices.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
9. Train and mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
10. Utilize Alerton Building Controls to monitor and manage HVAC systems effectively.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a HVAC Controls Technician or a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Proficient in HVAC controls, control commissioning, electrical wiring, and wiring diagram interpretation.
3. Solid understanding of control circuits and ability to test electrical circuits.
4. Experience with HVAC/DDC programming and Direct Digital Controls (DDC).
5. Proficiency in using test equipment and troubleshooting HVAC systems and controls.
6. Familiarity with Alerton Building Controls.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. Ability to read and interpret design prints for HVAC installations.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
10. Commitment to safety and quality.
11. Must hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to various project sites.
12. HVAC certification or equivalent is preferred.
