Job Details


  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to process hire requests, background check entry and administration, onboarding questions, “launching” new hire packets and HRIS navigation assistance.
  • Process/respond to VOE (Verification of Employment) requests.
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintains all records for the department, including but not limited to; personnel files, I-9s, EEO, OSHA, workers’ compensation, and health insurance records.
  • Provides HR assistance to General Managers and associates.
  • Works closely with Corporate team including Operations, Payroll and Accounting.
  • Manages the recruitment process for hourly positions.
  • Responsible for tracking legally required training programs including harassment prevention and human trafficking training.
Audits 1-9 files quarterly to ensure accuracy.
  • Files all HR-related paperwork weekly, ensuring files are kept updated, stored accordingly, and sent to storage where applicable.
  • Monitors the HR inbox and responds to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Leave of absence administration and tracking.
  • Monitors compliance with applicable local, state, and federal labor laws, working closely with the HRD to ensure requirements are met.
  • Processes all EDD unemployment audits and claims.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems (Paycom, ADP WFN).


Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, preferred but not required.
At least one year of human resource experience preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
