We are on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Remote Tax Manager to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where you will be responsible for managing a broad range of tax-related functions. This includes individual returns, trust, estate, and partnership taxation. The role is fully remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from home while being part of a dedicated and supportive team.
Responsibilities:
As our Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing and managing the preparation and review of tax returns, including individual, trust, estate, and partnership returns.
2. Providing tax planning and consulting to our clients, ensuring they are in compliance with tax laws and regulations.
3. Researching and analyzing complex tax issues, and providing guidance and advice to clients.
4. Supervising and mentoring junior staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
5. Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure the accuracy of tax data.
6. Staying updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
7. Developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client satisfaction.
8. Working closely with clients to provide personalized tax planning strategies.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA designation is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax manager role, preferably in the finance industry.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience with individual returns, trust, estate, and partnership taxation.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and understandable manner.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
7. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
