Highway Engineer - NYSDOT - Hybrid

We are looking for a Highway Engineer to come on board and help with that growth.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Highway Engineer that has experience with NYSDOT protocols to join our team. As a Highway Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining roadways, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure across the state. This is a hybrid position that requires a mix of fieldwork and office-based tasks. You will work alongside a team of skilled professionals and have access to the latest technology and tools to ensure the success of your projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop plans for roadways, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure projects using MicroStation and AutoCAD software
• Conduct field inspections and assessments to identify maintenance and repair needs
• Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success
• Prepare project proposals, budgets, and timelines
• Ensure compliance with NYSDOT regulations and safety standards
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and staff members
• Attend meetings and conferences to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of experience as a Highway Engineer working with NYSDOT
• Proficiency in MicroStation (required) and AutoCAD software (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with NYSDOT regulations and standards
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
