We are seeking a dynamic, experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Preconstruction in the Engineering industry. This integral role will be responsible for leading and managing all preconstruction activities for high-rise, commercial projects valued at $80 million or more. The successful candidate will be an innovative strategist with a proven track record in leadership, possessing a deep understanding of the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the preconstruction process for all high-rise, commercial projects valued at $80 million or more, ensuring all activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
2. Develop and implement preconstruction strategies and plans, ensuring they align with the overall business objectives.
3. Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
4. Identify potential risks and challenges in the preconstruction phase and devise effective mitigation strategies.
5. Provide leadership and guidance to the preconstruction team, nurturing a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
6. Review and approve project estimates and budgets, ensuring they are accurate and realistic.
7. Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices, leveraging this knowledge to improve preconstruction processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management, with a focus on high-rise, commercial projects valued at $80 million or more.
3. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective preconstruction strategies.
4. Proven leadership skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
5. Strong understanding of construction industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
7. Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges.
