We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grant Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about financial management and grant accounting. As the Grant Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of federal and state grants, local cost reimbursable grants, and other funding sources. You will also be tasked with preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with federal single audits, and maintaining the integrity of the accounting function. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the financial management of federal and state grants, local cost reimbursable grants, and other funding sources.
2. Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports to funding agencies.
3. Ensure compliance with federal single audits and other regulatory requirements.
4. Maintain the integrity of the accounting function, including the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
5. Coordinate with program managers and other stakeholders to ensure the effective use of grant funds.
6. Provide technical assistance and training to staff on grant accounting matters.
7. Monitor and analyze grant expenditures and revenues, and provide regular financial updates to senior management.
8. Participate in the budgeting process, including the preparation of grant budgets.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in grant accounting or a related field, with a focus on federal and state grants and local cost reimbursable grants.
3. In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, federal single audits, and accounting principles.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate financial information to non-financial staff.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting software is preferred.
8. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving organizational goals.
