Develop, implement, and manage food safety and quality assurance programs in accordance with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities to assess compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and preventative measures to address non-compliance issues.

Lead a team of Quality Assurance Technicians, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.

Monitor and document all aspects of the production process, including raw materials, processing, packaging, and storage, to ensure adherence to quality specifications.

Manage and maintain the documentation and record-keeping system for all quality control activities.

Oversee product testing and sampling, and collaborate with external laboratories when necessary.

Investigate customer complaints or concerns related to product quality and implement corrective actions.

Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in food safety and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum 3-4 of experience in food safety and quality assurance roles
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, etc.) and quality management systems (HACCP, SQF, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and train a team.
Proficiency in using quality control tools and software.
Certification in Food Safety (e.g., PCQI, HACCP) is highly desirable.
