Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate R&D Chemist with a specialization in Flavors to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment, creating and developing new flavor profiles that will delight consumers around the globe. This role offers the candidate a chance to work with a cross-functional team, leveraging their expertise in flavor chemistry, GCMS, formulation, compounding, and flavor to create high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development of new flavors and improve existing ones by leveraging your deep understanding of flavor chemistry.

2. Utilize GCMS for the identification of flavor compounds, interpretation of data, and troubleshooting.

3. Develop and optimize formulations for various flavor systems, ensuring that they meet the desired flavor profile, cost parameters, and regulatory requirements.

4. Perform compounding of flavors and manage the scale-up process from lab to production, ensuring consistency and quality.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and quality assurance to develop new products and improve existing ones.

6. Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the flavor industry, bringing innovative ideas to the team.

7. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in the lab and production areas.

8. Document all experiments, findings, and procedures accurately and thoroughly.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is a plus.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in flavor chemistry, specifically in the manufacturing industry.

3. Proficiency in using GCMS for flavor analysis.

4. Strong experience in flavor formulation and compounding.

5. Solid understanding of flavor raw materials and their interactions.

6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex flavor challenges.

7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings and ideas clearly.

8. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with various departments.

9. Self-motivated with a strong passion for flavors and creating innovative products.

10. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
