Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic, committed, and experienced Permanent First Party Coverage Associate Attorney to join our highly regarded Legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to the organization on a wide range of legal issues, including insurance coverage, first party property, litigation, and toxic tort. With a caseload that is varied and challenging, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, demonstrating their exceptional legal research and writing skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal representation in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
2. Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on first party coverage and insurance defense matters.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
4. Advise on and interpret laws, regulations, and policies related to insurance coverage and first party property.
5. Handle complex insurance coverage disputes and interpret insurance policy provisions.
6. Develop and implement effective legal strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, legal trends, and best practices in the field of first party coverage and insurance defense.
8. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
9. Provide clear and concise legal advice to clients, ensuring that they understand their rights, obligations, and options.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the California Bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on first party coverage and insurance defense.
4. Proven experience in litigation and toxic tort.
5. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex legal issues.
7. High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
8. Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
10. Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ethics and a commitment to providing excellent legal services.
11. Proficiency in using legal research software and other relevant computer applications.
