Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems according to blueprints, specifications, and applicable codes.

  • Conduct regular inspections and tests of fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly and in compliance with regulations.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire sprinkler systems, including leaks, clogs, and malfunctions, and implement appropriate repairs.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to plan and execute fire sprinkler installations and upgrades.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation, inspections, tests, and repairs.

  • Stay current with industry developments, fire safety regulations, and best practices related to fire sprinkler systems.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe work environment.

  • Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively with clients, and address any concerns or questions regarding fire sprinkler systems.



Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in fire sprinkler fitting.

  • Knowledge of fire codes, regulations, and standards, such as NFPA standards.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools effectively.

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if applicable).

  • Relevant certifications, such as NICET certification, are a plus.
